Urbana Flubs Again in Atttracting new Business

The March Commerce Connection newsletter reported eight new Chamber of Commerce members in Champaign and three  in Urbana.    However, one of the new members from Urbana the Champaign Ski  Club,  with club’s Urbana address being the home address of one its officers.  So Champaign outscored Bozo Urbana by a ratio of 4 to 1

Global Warming and Sidewalk Snow Shoveling

While Champaign County has endured snowstorms since well before its first Caucasian settlers arrived in the nineteenth century, with recent years’ warmer winters, Champaign-Urbana’s population has lost its ability to cope with the white stuff. This year’s one substantial snowstorm would not have been considered unusual two decades ago.
